The Foster Child Grant Program is open to students who are foster children who are legal residents of Massachusetts and will be attending an eligible public, private, independent, for profit or nonprofit institution in Massachusetts. You must be a U.S. citizen or non-eligible citizen, be placed in the custody of the Department of Social Services through a Care and Protection Petition, and not be over the age of 24. You must also have signed a voluntary agreement with the Department of Social Services establishing terms and conditions for receiving such aid, apply for a FAFSA, and be in compliance with Selective Service Registration. Additionally, you must not be in default of an federal or state student loans and be in good academic standing to be eligible for this award.
