The Malyon-Smith Scholarship Award is available to full-time graduate students who plan on doing research on psychological issues of importance to gay, lesbian or bisexual individuals, groups or communities. You must submit a proposal of 11 pages or less, following the APA style, that discusses: the rationale for the study; the relevance of the study to lesbian, gay and bisexual psychology; methodology; anticipated or achieved findings; a discussion of the findings or anticipated findings and implications of the study for the field; and any information regarding limitations of samples or ethnic minority issues (where relevant). You must also include a cover sheet and budget worksheet detailing anticipated costs, other potential funding sources and how the award would be spent. All proposals will be anonymously reviewed.
