Nat Lathrop Music Scholarship

The Nat Lathrop Music Scholarship is available to students between the ages of eight and 18 who have been diagnosed with hemophilia B or is the sibling of a person diagnosed with hemophilia B. You must be pursuing an interest in music to be eligible for this award. Deadline: 10/15/22

Sphinx Competition

The Sphinx Competition is open to Black and Latinx classical string players under the age of 30. To be considered, you must submit a video audition in one of the following categories: violin, viola, cello, or double bass. Deadline: 10/20/22

Bill Wells Memorial Youth Scholarship

The Bill Wells Memorial Youth Scholarship is available to students in grades six through the 12 residing in South Carolina. To be eligible, you must be involved in bluegrass and / or traditional music by playing one of the bluegrass instruments, like the fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, dobro, dulcimer; or by being a singer / vocalist of this genre of music. Marine Band Concerto Competition

The Marine Band Concerto Competition is open to high school students. You must be a woodwind, brass, or percussion player and be a U.S citizen to be eligible for this award. Deadline: 11/15/22

Jean L. Petitt Memorial Music Scholarship Competition

The Jean L. Petitt Memorial Music Scholarship Competition is open to instrumentalists, vocalists, and dancers ages 18 and under. You must perform a suitable piece from musical theater, big band, swing, jazz, or light classics in an audition to be considered for this award. Applicants must reside and attend school in the seven - county Greater Cleveland region. Deadline: 11/20/22

Nickels for Notes Music Scholarship

The Nickels for Notes Music Scholarship is available to high school seniors residing in Massachusetts. You must be majoring in piano, instrument, music education, music therapy, or voice to be eligible for this award. A personal statement of no more than 500 words is required. Deadline: 3/1/23

Jeanette M. Russell Jazz Scholarship

The Jeanette M. Russell Jazz Scholarship is available to students who are pursuing an education in music with an emphasis in jazz studies. You must be a Florida resident and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. Deadline: 3/3/23

AFSA Art Merit Award

The AFSA Art Merit Award is available to high school seniors who demonstrate talent in creative writing, musical arts, performing arts, or visual arts. You must be the child of a Foreign Service employee and have a minimum 2.75 GPA to be eligible for this award. Deadline: 4/3/23

Shirley Martin Scholarship for Young Songwriters

The Shirley Martin Scholarship for Young Songwriters is available to students between the ages of 14 and 19. You must be actively seeking to advance your skills in the craft of songwriting to be considered for this award. You must also be a resident of Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Pulaski, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren, or White County in Indiana. Deadline: 4/7/23

Latin Grammy Gifted Tuition Scholarship

The Latin Grammy Gifted Tuition Scholarship is available to students pursuing a bachelor's degree in music. You must be between the ages of 17 and 25, demonstrate financial need, and be passionate about Latin music to be considered for this award. Deadline: 4/10/23

Space Coast Jazz Society Scholarship

The Space Coast Jazz Society Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors from Brevard County, Florida. You must plan to study music with an emphasis on jazz to be eligible for this award. Deadline: 4/15/23

SBO Essay Contest

The SBO Essay Contest is open to high school students who are enrolled in a K-12 school sponsored instrumental or vocal music program. To enter, you must submit a 250 - word essay on the following topic: "Tell us about a music teacher who has changed your life. What was it about them that had an impact on you? How did their teaching, personality, or actions differ from other good teachers?" Deadline: 4/30/23

Musical Arts Scholarship

The Musical Arts Scholarship is available to full - time students between the ages of 17 and 24. You must be studying music as a major or minor and submit a performance video to be eligible for this award. Deadline: 6/15/23

Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award

The Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award is available to students between the ages of eight and 18 who demonstrate exceptional musical ability. You must demonstrate academic achievement and financial need to be eligible for this award. Deadline: Varies
